United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County adopting national messaging to LIVE UNITED.
“The messaging of LIVE UNITED when coupled with the calls to action of give, advocate and volunteer, fits amazingly well with what United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County has been doing since our earliest beginnings”, states marketing committee chair Barb Rose.
Executive Director Jeff Conway, upon his return from a United Way of America conference reflected that “United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County works tirelessly to address human service needs of our greater Carlisle community. While perhaps best known for our annual campaign and to some degree, as the community’s safety net, this United Way does so much more than that”. Jeff continues to remind people that we are at the forefront of advancing the common good, for when one individual benefits from United Way funded or coordinated services, the entire community benefits. In addition to our funding relationship with 27 area human service organizes, additional examples include our collaborations to provide free tax preparation services, heating assistance and a wide array of services for children and youth, not the least of which is our own Success By 6 initiative.
As we further develop our plans, we hope to provide greater opportunities for all to give, advocate, volunteer and learn what it means to LIVE UNITED. For additional information on the national initiative, visit http://www.liveunited.org/
Some communities are publicly launching the LIVE UNITED message with a United Way of America inspired national day of action on June 21st. United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County has compiled some recommendations of things you can do for national day of action on June 21st.
