UNITED WAY 2011 CAMPAIGN:  A SUCCESS!

The success of the 2011 United Way Campaign, led by Co-Chairs Dwayne Keller and Chris Rice, exceeded its goal of raising $1,500,000 to meet the evolving needs of the community.  The $1,510,000 raised will fund 27 local
non-profit agencies and 44 community-based programs throughout Carlisle, New Kingstown, Boiling Springs, Mount Holly Springs, Plainfield and Newville.

A number of generous volunteers, individual donors and local company supporters contributed to the success of this annual campaign, guaranteeing help to those in greatest need and positively impacting the education, income and health of the Greater Carlisle community.:
  • That's more at-risk children gaining the social, emotional and education development they require to become productive adults
  • That's more adults becoming self-sufficient through completion of financial counseling classes
  • That's more victims, and their children, receiving shelter from domestic violence
