Be A Leader! Leadership Associates are committed individuals (or couples who combine their giving) who support United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County by giving at least $500 annually.
Young Leaders represent a targeted group of donors age 40 and younger who support United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County with annual gifts of $250 or household gifts totaling at least $350. We welcome your input about YLS and invite you to complete and return this simple survey.
Be a Leader. Be Connected. As leaders in our community, leadership associates can enjoy social, networking, and volunteering opportunities throughout the year. Here is your chance to network on both a personal and professional level with other motivated leaders who care about our community as much as you do.
Be a Leader. Be Active. Help guide programs and services of United Way. There are opportunities as board and committee members, community investment panel volunteers and opportunities to help raise the funds that are so valuable to this community. Volunteers are vital in shaping our United Way and play a valuable leadership role in helping to identify new leadership donors while retaining current donors.
Be a Leader. Be Invested. Make a difference in the lives of others. Investing in our community is about sharing your time, talent and treasures with others. United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County, in collaboration with our 27 partner agencies and other not-for-profit organizations has volunteer opportunities available throughout the area.
Be A Volunteer! United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County has been serving central and western Cumberland County since 1918. Our volunteer board of directors is composed of 25 community members and three student representatives.
Volunteers are the life blood of United Way and non-profit organizations worldwide. United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County not only provides funding for 28 non-profit organizations but also plays an important role in volunteer recruitment and training. To this end, United Way is pleased to offer Carlisle Volunteer Connection where nonprofit organizations have the opportunity to list volunteer needs. Additionally, weekly listings are published in the Sunday issue of The Sentinel as a public service.

If you are a nonprofit organization and would like to have your volunteer needs listed, complete the agency profile application and return it to United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County.

Annual Day of Caring! For over 15 years volunteers from throughout the area have joined together to show they care. This year’s annual day(s) of caring will be held on May 2 and 3. Over 300 volunteers from area companies, schools and community residents will assemble to complete much needed tasks at area non-profit organizations. If interested in volunteering, receiving project information, or a non-profit in need of having work completed, please complete the Hold this Date flyer. Projects must take place in the greater Carlisle area (Carlisle, Boiling Springs, Mt. Holly Springs, New Kingstown and Newville). In-Kind Gifts! From providing services at no-charge (print, pest control, rental equipment) to underwriting or hosting special events, United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County is grateful to the many businesses and organizations that provide "in-kind" support.
