What is Success By 6?
Success By 6 is a national, community-based initiative created in 1988 by the United Way of America to help children ages six and under receive some of the basic building blocks of life they may otherwise go without.
The goal is to help all children receive the type of education, health care, and social & emotional development they need for a successful life.
Did you know?
There are approximately 12,332 children ages birth to five in Cumberland county.
45.8% of our county's children live in economically at-risk households.
70% of Cumberland County's regulated child care centers participate in the Keystone STARS quality rating system.
Reach Out and Read (ROR)
is a national nonprofit organization that promotes early literacy by giving new books to children and advice to parents about the importance of reading aloud in pediatric exam rooms across the nation. Locally, the Sadler Health Center participates is ROR in cooperation with Success By 6!
