"Money in Your Pocket" Campaign

Earn It! Keep It! Save It!

The Money in Your Pocket Campaign is a coalition comprised of Community Action Commission, United Ways, PNC Bank, and many other organizations. MIYP recruits volunteers to become certified and offer free tax preparation to low income families and individuals in Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties. Last year, volunteers completed over 2,600 returns which brought in over $3,000,000 in tax refunds for tax year 2008! Families and individuals earning under $42,000 qualify for service.

Employment Skills Center (29 South Hanover Street, Carlisle) will serve as our local tax preparation sites on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 4-7:00 p.m. and Monday evenings in February and April.
